Police have made public alarming video depicting a driver executing dangerous drifting maneuvers on a roundabout during an unauthorized vehicle gathering, placing watching crowds at significant risk of injury.

A 23-year-old from Southampton was given a 27-week prison sentence, deferred for one year, after pleading guilty to reckless operation of a vehicle.
In addition, the judge imposed a one-year license suspension and ordered community service along with a behavioral course.

As stated by authorities, the recording was filmed at an unauthorized car meet in Portsmouth on 28 December 2024, showing the driver driving a pink BMW.

A police sergeant remarked: “Residents, motorists and our traffic officers have had enough with these groups of motorists selfishly taking over public roads and parking areas and we will not tolerate it.”
He added: “They are not only a total disturbance, but they also put themselves and innocent bystanders at danger of serious injury.”
The statement concluded: “Our efforts will persist to take legal action against these individuals and I trust these latest incidents serve as a warning: you won’t get away with it.”
